Phillip P. Crace, M.D.

Dr. Crace grew up in Paintsville, KY and was a 1993 graduate of Paintsville High School. He graduated Cum Laude from Georgetown College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Crace then went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in Miami, FL in 1999. Dr. Crace returned to Kentucky attending The University of Kentucky College of Medicine receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Crace completed a five year general surgical residency program in Cincinnati before making the move back home where he will join the team at Kentucky Laparoscopic in Prestonsburg. Dr. Crace will be performing advanced laparoscopic procedures such as colon, anti-reflux, and complex hernia surgery as well as providing a full range of bariatric procedures and other common general surgery procedures such as laparoscopic gallbladder removal, endoscopy, breast and endocrine surgeries.
Jody Johnson, D.O.

At Kentucky Laparoscopic and Advanced Surgical Specialists, Dr. Jody Johnson
offers unique services to our region. Dr. Johnson received his doctorate at
Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his General
Surgery Residency at POH Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan. He also
completed his Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Gastrointestinal
Surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Dr. Johnson performs unique surgeries, which up until now could only be
offered in Huntington and Lexington. You no longer have to travel
out-of-town - you can be treated with the same quality service and care
right here in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Dr. Johnson performs general surgeries and specializes in all
Laparoscopic
surgery and Gastrointestinal surgery. Specifically, but not limited to:
bariatric surgery, appendix, gallbladder, spleen, hernia, and pancreas. Dr.
Johnson also performs colonoscopies, endoscopy, and adrenal surgery.
